Myler Western Bit Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Cathedral Port

This Myler Flat Shank but is made from Stainless Steel and has a 7" Flat Shank. The Low Correctional Port has a Copper Inlay Mouth and Sweet Iron bit allows horses to easily produce saliva and has a sweet taste. This Myler bit allows the rider to reward the horse with a "comfort zone" when relaxed at the poll. This western bit is good for collection and stopping and works well on spoiled horses and horses which run through the bit.

Function:
  • Shanks are used for leverage and, typically, with a curb strap or chain. Depending upon the mouthpiece used, backward and upward pressure on the reins transfers into downward pressure on the poll, pressure on the curb, and forward and downward pressure on the palate.
  • Downward pressure on tongue and bars.
  • Collapses on bars.
  • Offers release when horse relaxes at poll.
