This Zip-Up field boot offers easy in and out, especially for those with stiff ankles. A generous inside calf gusset is both forgiving of weight fluctuations and gives a more custom fit to the leg.

To Measure: Wear the right clothing. Tall boots should be tried on with correct riding attire to ensure a proper fit. This means breeches, light to medium weight tall boot socks (dry!) to cover the lower breech. The socks allow a smooth glide of boot over leg, and reduce uncomfortable fabric binding.

While in the correct attire, use a tape measure to take the following: A)leg circumference below knee. B) widest part of calf. C) floor to back of knee, and D) foot size. These will give you the inside top / inside calf /height measurements you need to find your boot size on the above chart.

Insteps, flexibility and sizes vary so much, being able to get the boot on easily does not mean it doesn't fit correctly. It's just something you'll want to consider. Second, consider boot height. a properly fitted new tall boot will press on the tendons at the back of your knee and even be a bit uncomfortable. this is good! The boots will drop slightly as they break in, leaving you with a comfortable yet elegantly correct fit.

New boots always slip, for about the first ten hours or so of wear. To accelerate this process, hand-knead the heel to soften and relax this hard part of the boot.
