Myler Western Bit Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Copper Inlay Mouth
A Level 2-3 bit, this works well with horses who can benefit from more tongue relief or who have advanced skills and require more control. This bit features a correctional port. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. This Myler bit is harmless to horses and has a sweet taste that promotes salivation.

Function:
- Shanks are used for leverage and, typically, with a curb strap or chain. Depending upon the mouthpiece used, backward and upward pressure on the reins transfers into downward pressure on the poll, pressure on the curb, and forward and downward pressure on the palate. The tops, or purchases are bent away from the horse to prevent discomfort or rubbing.
- Downward pressure on top of bars.

- Some palate pressure.
- Turns solid when asking for a stop.
