Myler Western Bit HBT Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Copper Inlay Mouth
Myler created a correctional bit aimed for horses with advanced skills that need more control or horses in training that need more tongue relief. This bit uses more bar pressure to help alleviate such problems as inversion, pulling, leaning, and running through the bit. It comes with a sweet iron mouthpiece which promotes salivation and a softer mouth.

Design: The shank consists of a length of metal with two rings and a fixed mouthpiece attachment. The mouthpiece is curved with two hinges and a upward-curved center piece with a barrel. |

- Shanks are used for leverage and, typically, with a curb strap or chain. Depending upon the mouthpiece used, backward and upward pressure on the reins transfers into downward pressure on the poll, pressure on the curb, and forward and downward pressure on the palate. The tops, or purchases are bent away from the horse to prevent discomfort or rubbing.
- Tongue and bar pressure.
- Collapses on the outside of bars.
