Myler Western Bit Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Low Port Comfort Snaffle
The Myler Flat Shank Bit is a level 2-3 bit that is suitable for horses that are more advanced but need an occasional correction. The Myler Flat Shank with Low Ported Barrel has a 7" shank. The Sweet Iron and Copper Inlay Mouth piece allow for added saliva in your horse's mouth.

Function:
- Shanks are used for leverage and, typically, with a curb strap or chain. Depending upon the mouthpiece used, backward and upward pressure on the reins transfers into downward pressure on the poll, pressure on the curb, and forward and downward pressure on the palate. The tops, or purchases are bent away from the horse to prevent discomfort or rubbing.
