Myler Loose Ring Bit with Forward Tilted Port

This loose ring bit is part of Myler's comfort snaffle line, fitting the horse's mouth better than a traditional jointed snaffle. It also features independent side movement, allowing the rider to work one side of the bit, and therefore one side of the horse, at a time. This can aid in balancing, bending, and collection. This bit has a copper mouthpiece, which has a sweet taste as it slowly oxidizes, encouraging the horse to salivate and creating a softer mouth.

Bit Design: The Myler loose ring is a simple ring where the mouthpiece has no fixed point of attachment, but simply slides around the ring. This particular mouthpiece is curved with a jointed copper center barrel.

  • Direct action - applies same amount of rein pressure to the mouth. Loose rings allow the horse some play with the bit in the mouth.
