Myler Western Dee Sweet Iron Bit with a low port comfort snaffle

Stainless Steel Western Dee without Hooks and a Level 2 copper inlay comfort snaffle. his (MB 04) mouthpiece has a slight 1/4" port that allows for more tongue relief than the Level 1 mouthpieces.  The Myler bits have a distinctive curve that creates more room for the tongue to pass under the bit so the horse can swallow more freely. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. This Myler bit's wide center barrel will disperse pressure across a greater area of the tongue than the comfort snaffle's regular barrel. It is useful for horses that are young or green, just beginning training, with a steady disposition, older, or just beginning training, training for a new discipline, or retraining after a long lapse.  Or if you hav ebeen using a Level I mouthpiece and the horse is showing some resistance you may want to move to a Level Two.

 

Level: Two
Design: A Western “D” shaped ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is curved a little less than a  Level 1, but still keeping the horse's lips more comfortable.  
Function:
  • Direct action - applies same amount of rein pressure to the mouth. More direct signal than Loose Ring. Will not pull through the mouth or pinch.
  • Pinch and restrict.
  • Collapses on bars.
  • Independent Side Movement.
